The South West Disabled Swimming Association exists to provide support and information to young people, adults, swimmers, parents and clubs within the region about the various aspects of swimming so they can participate, improve and compete in order to achieve their full potential.
RECREATIONAL SWIMMING
We hold information about clubs and groups within the South West who provide opportunities for disabled people to learn to swim within a sheltered swimming session. It is hoped that through these clubs they will be encouraged to make swimming a regular part of their weekly routine.
COMPETITIVE SWIMMING
The Association is working in partnership with Disability Sport England, Kings of Wessex Leisure Centre and Active Sports to promote disability swimming at all levels throughout the South West and to deliver a programme of training days and competitions, both at home and abroad.
Both the Junior and Senior squads contain current world record holders and many swimmers who are ranked in the top 20 in the world.
